Make 2017 Your Year!: The Top 4 Regenerative Therapies to Look Into This Year

With a new year upon us, a new you awaits.

One of Regeneris Medical’s goals is to continue to provide our patients with an above-and-beyond healing experience. Make your resolution to treat yourself right and to prioritize your own well-being, and know that part of our resolution is to help you accomplish yours.

Although there is a non-exhaustive list of ailments that can be treated by regenerative technologies, here are the top 4 regenerative therapies that can help you have your best year yet.

1. Osteoarthritis of the Knee

Looking to get back to the track this year? Don’t opt for surgery so quickly- regain your mobility and treat your osteoarthritis of the knee with us at Regeneris Medical. Our procedure utilizes your body’s own healing abilities to help heal your OA. In comparison to surgery, it’s less costly, less time-consuming, and much easier on your body.

In our approach, we utilize the anti-inflammatory and healing effects of Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF, which is rich in mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors) and PRP autologous platelet rich plasma (to optimize the effects of the SVF). This is all performed as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, and is all done at the time of SVF harvesting and procurement. The entire procedure itself takes approximately 5 hours.

Don’t waste another year in pain- get moving today!

2. Sexual Wellness

Ring in the new year with more than just fireworks! Regeneris Medical can help- we provide a revolutionary alternative therapy to treat sexual dysfunction: the P-Shot and the O-Shot.

The shot is a simple, relatively painless, office-based procedure which utilizes PRP therapy to enhance sexual performance and experience. The benefits include…

3. Hair Restoration

Take 2017 by storm and look your best! Hair loss can be a traumatic experience for both men and women. Regeneris Medical has developed a protocol in which we utilize a patient’s own stem cells to restore his/her hair growth. This therapy is expected to work by activating already existing stem cells on the scalp.

There are two regenerative approaches that can be taken to restore hair growth: PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy, and SVF (Stromal Vascular Fraction) therapy.

For PRP Therapy, the first step is to simply draw blood. We then spin the blood in a centrifuge and extract the platelets. We then activate the platelets, add some naturally-occurring growth factors, and return it to your body through a series of pinpoint injections on the scalp.

Another option is using SVF. This is a method which utilizes adult autologous adipose cells (the patient’s own fat cells). Stem cells are your natural healing cells, and act as the repair system in your body by replenishing inactive cellular material. The procedure entails performing a mini-liposuction from the belly under local anesthesia. Mesenchymal stem cells are extracted from the tissue, which are then incubated. The result is injected directly into areas of concern. Once these stem cells are administered, they have the ability to repair and re-activate dormant follicles, forming new cells.

4. Regeneris Anti-Aging

Turn back time this year! Regeneris Medical can help you bring out your inner youth by using your very own healing abilities by using the PRP Cellu-Lift procedure and the Regeneris Face Lift.

The PRP Cellu-Lift is one of the most advanced and effective anti-aging procedures available today. The Cellu-Lift is a Platelet Rich Plasma therapy designed to focus on skin tissue regeneration. First, we attain your platelet-rich plasma (PRP) through a blood draw. When injected into specific areas of the skin, it acts as a matrix that promotes collagen growth, regenerates tissue, and acts as to naturally smooth and tighten the skin.

The natural production of collagen leads to a total facial rejuvenation rather than just individual wrinkle improvement. PRP is used for volatizing faces that are beginning to look drawn, to plump out cheek indentations, soften under eye hollow, improve the skin tone, tightness, and texture, and fill in areas where hyaluronic acid fillers cannot reach or are not safe to use.

The Regeneris Face Lift restores lost volume and revitalizes your facial appearance with a minimally invasive procedure that combines fat transfer, PRP and stem cells.

Stem cells certainly have a role to play in cosmetic surgery. However, very few surgeons are experienced using Stem Cell + PRP activated fat grafts. At Regeneris Medical, we have performed SVF/PRP procedures since 2009 for variety of medical and aesthetic conditions.

The Regeneris Face Lift is performed in our office. Results are natural, free of incisions, and can be expected to last longer than traditional facial rejuvenation options on the market.

3 Extreme Anti-Aging Treatments You Won’t Believe–Don’t Try This At Home!

3 of the Wildest Hoax Skin Care Routines

Sometimes people are willing to go to extreme lengths to achieve youthful, beautiful skin. And sometimes, those lengths push the boundaries of skin care in terms of effectiveness and safety. We found three of the wildest hoax skin care routines out there for you to take a look at. As you’re reading, think about this: are these treatments really worth the risk, especially when your own body could hold the secret to regenerative anti-aging?

1. Kitty Litter Facial

Yes, you read it right. If you’re a follower of the YouTube beauty community, then you may have seen cosmetic guru Michelle Phan post a video about the Kitty Litter Facial. Phan says she uses unscented cat litter mixed with water, and claims that it contains “amazing detoxifying abilities.” [1]

To avoid chemicals, Phan presses that you should only use unscented cat litter. However, other critics have commented on the possible dangers of the facial…

"I would not put kitty litter on my face. Some brands of kitty litter contain aluminium silicate, the same ingredient used in glass-making as well as housing insulation. Plus, it's a known neurotoxin for humans,” - esthetician Rebecca O'Sullivan [2]

At the end of the day, kitty litter belongs in the box and not on our faces.

2. Bee Venom

One anti-aging trend that’s been on the rise has been the use of bee venom. “Bee venom therapy (BVT) involves the application of bee venom into the skin by administration of live bee stings or injections with a needle, including acupuncture into acupoints.” So what is the science behind this procedure?

“One of the principal components of bee venom is a chemical called melittin...Melittin changes the charge of the cell so it can absorb toxins, but also so it can absorb more oxygen, hormones, and amino acids. And since the irritant component of bee sting is left out of the mix, the result of using “bee venom” is pure skin rejuvenation.” [3]

Don’t go looking for a beehive, though. The claim is that “There is only the change in the skin that makes it more responsive to oxygen and nutrients. The extra energy in the skin helps it smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.” [4] However, there is no concrete proof that this technique helps rather than just hurts. Some sources say that BVT is supposed to mimic a bee sting, yet even this supposedly it does not do.

Even though this may seem like an exciting and more natural anti-aging alternative, there is very little scientific evidence that it’s actually effective, or even safe.

“Until there is more scientific evidence suggesting that apitherapy does more good than harm, I would avoid this alternative therapy,” writes Thomas Pirelli, PhD. This especially goes for people who are allergic to bee venom, as it could cause negative side effects. [5]

3. Chinese Fire facial

In this “hot” new procedure, a towel soaked with alcohol (mixed with other components which vary on who performs the treatment) is placed over the face, and then (you guessed it) set ablaze. The fire is used to supposedly “stimulate cell regeneration and youthify the complexion.” [6]

It seems to go without saying here that there is a very obvious risk of receiving severe burns from the “Fire Facial”–a terrible price to pay for achieving more of a youthful look. [7]

Why Go To Extreme Lengths?

Your body has the ability to restore and repair itself- including fine lines and wrinkles. At Regeneris Medical, we harness the body’s regenerative powers reduce signs of aging.

PRP CELLU-LIFT

PRP has a long history of being used in the medical field, and now its benefits are being applied to other sectors of medicine such as dermatology, skin wound healing, and cosmetic facial rejuvenation.

The Regeneris Cellu-Lift is a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy designed to regenerate skin tissue. PRP therapy involves drawing a patient’s own blood and processing it so only the enriched cells (PRP) remain. This plasma contains essential proteins and growth factors. When injected into specific areas of the skin, it acts as a matrix that promotes collagen growth, regenerates tissue, and acts as to naturally smooth and tighten the skin.

The natural production of collagen leads to a total facial rejuvenation rather than just individual wrinkle improvement. Regeneris Medical’s PRP Cellu-Lift is one of the most advanced and effective anti-aging procedures available today.

REGENERIS FACE LIFT

Fortunately, you can restore lost volume and revitalize your facial appearance with thea minimally invasive Regeneris Face Lift, a minimally-invasive procedure that combines fat transfer, PRP and stem cells.

In the last 20 years, surgeons have been documenting some long-term benefits found from fat cell transfers, including the ability to maintain volume as well as other regenerative evidence. Fat grafts are loaded with stem cells, whether you specially process the fat or not.

Stem cells certainly have a role to play in regenerative medicine and cosmetic surgery. However, very few surgeons are experienced using Stem Cell + PRP activated fat grafts. At Regeneris Medical we have performed SVF/PRP procedures since 2009 for variety of medical and aesthetic conditions.
